Jimmy J's

I learnt pretty quickly during my visit to Canada in 2017 that Jimmy J's was the place to go in Chilliwack for a breakfast feast. So before leaving the town for a five hour road trip we stopped off at Chevron for some gas and Jimmy J's to fill our belly's.
There are two tricky things when dining at Jimmy J's, firstly deciding what to have from the extensive menu and secondly fitting it all in as the portions are huge.

Pancakes were an obvious choice and at around $5 per serving, depending on the topping I was expecting a serving around half the size the first time I visited. On this particular occasion I opted for the stack of three delicious golden Frisbee sized pancakes, filled with fresh blueberries served with a pots of maple syrup and whipped butter.
Each mouthful contacted the light fluffy pancake mix with a drizzle of sweetness from the maple syrup, followed by a burst of flavour when popping one of the many blueberries. As with any Canadian breakfast establishment, there bottomless coffee to wash the breakfast down with.
While visiting in 2017 I opted for the chocolate chip pancakes, and when the plate was presented to me I was initially a little disappointed thinking there was only a small pile of chocolate chips on the top of the stack of pancakes. This disappointed was short lived however as cutting into the pancakes revealed many more chocolate chips between each layer. I had to admit though, as delicious as the pancakes were, on that occasion the richness of the chocolate was to much and in a very unusual event for me I actually had to leave food on my plate.
